tsaADVET are pleased to announce the release of CAB-i-NET Version 3. This is the biggest release of CAB-i-NET since the product was launched back in 2003. Enhancements have been done to allow CAB-i-NET to support the replication of the Master and Instance databases. This allows remote office locations fast access to the data when working on a wide area network. This functionality is built into the core of CAB-i-NET and is available by simple configuration as required for no additional cost in terms of software licences or server modules.
Many other improvements in the areas of concurrency management, faster user navigation through use of Folder Favourites, assignment of users groups and workflow roles from template users, ability to copy versions of files to a new file, or paste as a reference. This used in conjunction with CAB-i-NET Reference Manager (for MicroStation™ and AutoCAD™) facilitates the attachment of previous versions.
Our customers have been heavily involved in the testing and providing feedback for this latest version of CAB-i-NET so it continues to deliver additional benefits to their organisations.

tsaADVET’s customers have already deployed CAB-i-NET to their office locations outside the UK as they look to maximise their resources spread throughout the world. This enables a 24/7 design
process on projects and they are all on a common database of drawings and documents. To improve the performance further across the wide area network, CAB-i-NET has been enhanced to allow local replication of the CAB-i-NET database. This improves performance in obtaining information across the WAN. File replication and caching can be accomplished using any industry options the customers wish, due to the fact that CAB-i-NET does not store the file data in a vault environment. Working closely with our customers this development is currently in testing before being released later in the year.
tsaADVET is pleased to announce that Signalling Solutions have selected the CAB-i-NET Suite of software to manage the creation of not only their design data but also the documentation generated
across the organisation.CAB-i-NET was selected after an extensive review of the existing solutions in use and the latest products available from their suppliers, including Bentley’s ProjectWise. Andrew Frank – Director, commented “We are delighted that Signalling Solutions have chosen CAB-i-NET and look forward to working with them on the rollout of the software throughout their organisation. This contract win reinforces our view that CAB-i-NET is a highly flexible software solution that only requires configuration, rather than customisation, to meet the needs of the customer”.
