Rail Data Transfer Workshop

tsaADVET held a data transfer workshop for its Rail customers in Birmingham on the 8th July. CAB-i-NET is widely used within the Rail industry for managing drawings and associated documentation. CAB-i-NET customers shared their experiences of transferring data with their suppliers and customers. The data held in CAB-i-NET can be easily exported as it is not held in a proprietary vault based system unlike most other EDMS systems. Currently there are no standards defined for data transfer and this is something the group is looking to establish to bring efficiencies to all parties.

tsaADVET invited to exhibit at Magnox event.

On Tuesday 17 May 2011 Magnox Ltd in association with the Welsh Assembly Government will host an event for existing and potential suppliers to the Magnox Fleet across the UK. The fifth in a series of supplier events hosted by Magnox since early May 2009, this event will be held at Venue Cymru, Llandudno, North Wales and tsaADVET have been invited to attend and exhibit.
The day will commence with registration at 9.30am with the event itself starting promptly at 10am. The morning session will focus on Programmisation and Projects as well as the re-organisation of the Magnox Ltd business and what this means for the supply chain. In the afternoon they will focus on how they can work together in partnership to deliver benefits to the local economies in which Magnox works.

tsaADVET Present CAB-i-NET to the Denmark Bentley Data Management Special Interest Group on 17th March 2011

tsaADVET were asked by the Danish Bentley Data Management SIG to present the CAB-i-NET Suite of products. The meeting took place at COWI offices just outside Copenhagen and was attended by members of the group who currently use various systems including Bentley ProjectWise with some using no systems. A two hour presentation with the majority of the time being live demonstrations of CAB-i-NET being used to manage the creation and work flowing documents and drawings around a distributed organisation. Areas also included how CAB-i-NET can be effectively used to process drawings and documents being received from contractors including later versions during the life of the project.

Tata Steel CAB-i-NET User Group 2011

tsaADVET Ltd will be holding a Tata Steel CAB-i-NET User Group on the 22nd or 24th Feb 2011 @ Ashorne Hill. http://www.ashornehill.co.uk/pages/index.php

Time: 10.30am – 3pm allowing people to travel to/from most sites in the day.

We will present an update on CAB-i-NET Software Suite, CAB-i-NET SAP Interface, suggestions for software changes and Bob Emmett, Manager, Engineering Drawing & Design Services, will present CAB-i-NET in use at Port Talbot, specifically focused on Project and Job files. A more detailed agenda will be issued nearer the time.

IMGS Customer Day

IMGS are holding their annual Customer Day this year at Dun Laoghaire Golf Club on Tuesday, May18th. The Customer Day will commence at 09.30am with morning business session, during which tsaADVET will be demonstrating CAB-i-NET SharePoint, and also showing the updated CAB-i-NET Transmittal module. tsaADVET will be taking this opportunity to exibit the latest changes in the CAB-i-NET Explorer 2.14, scheduled for release at the end of April. This will be followed by a buffet lunch and optional golf in the afternoon with dinner in the evening.

Oce & tsa Open Day

Oce and tsaADVET are holding a joint Open Day. Oce have worked closely with tsa for many years due to their common customer base. The Open Day is to be held at The Gateway To Wales Hotel in Flintshire on Tuesday 16th February 2010, commencing at 8:00am until 4:30pm, and will feature a selection of Oce Plotters, Printers and Scanners combined with demonstrations of tsaADVET’s Technical Document Management Solution, CAB-i-NET Software.
